This course allows teachers and students to experience the benefits of participating in a shared theater experience and demonstrates how to apply arts integration strategies into curriculum. Instructional videos will model basic arts integrated theater strategies connected to curriculum standards. These participatory strategies have yielded proven results in students' academic achievement and social-emotional growth and will foster student engagement and extend learning across content areas. Teachers can implement these strategies as pre- or post-activities or apply them to any content area.

  • Articulate how arts integration strategies enhance a student’s understanding of a play or story
  • Model reenacting key play elements, such as characters and setting for students
  • Prepare students to attend and respond to a shared arts experience
